4-H STEM AmeriCorps: Montezuma County has a 4-H STEM AmeriCorps member, Julie Periman, currently serving the county developing, strengthening, and delivering youth development programs emphasizing Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) in out-of-school settings. The Montezuma County Extension Office has master copies of Fact Sheets available through Colorado State University. Staff members are also available to answer questions, provide information, and to serve as your resource for research-based information in the areas of Agriculture, Natural Resources, Family and Consumer Sciences, and 4-H Youth Development.

  • Andrea Jeter, the 4-H Coordinator, will be available by appointment before County Council/Stakeholder meetings, the 2nd Monday of every month from 4:30p.m.-6:00p.m.
Fair Board
The Montezuma County Fair Board meets every 3rd Monday in the Commissioners Room – 109 West Main, beginning at 7:00 p.m. (All Interested Parties are Welcome to Attend)

Farmers Market

Remember to visit one of our local Farmers’ Markets!

Cortez Farmers' Market:

The Cortez Farmers Market is held Saturday mornings, June 1st through October 26th, from 7:30 a.m. through 11:30a.m. The starting time will change for the month of October, with most vendors starting to sell at 8:30 a.m. For More Information Visit http://cortezfarmmarket.com/

Dolores Farmers' Market:
Wednesdays, 4-7 pm, June-Oct.,420 Central Ave, in front of Town Hall and “The Goose. 970-882-7720.

Four Seasons Geen House and Nursery Winter Market– Beginning on November 4th and running through the middle of March, we host an indoor Farmers Market on Saturday mornings from 10 am – 1 pm. 26650 Road P Dolores, CO 81323 contact (970) 565-8274.
