Montezuma County is StormReady!
The StormReady program, through the National Weather Service, helps communities develop plans to handle all types of extreme weather- from tornadoes to winter storms- by providing emergency managers with guidelines on how to improve their hazardous weather operations. The Montezuma County Office of Emergency Management worked through a checklist including inspections of county facilities with the National Weather Service in Grand Junction to ensure that plans are in place and facilities are equipped for hazardous weather notifications and response within the county. Now that those plans are complete, Montezuma County has been declared StormReady!
