Fairgrounds

Montezuma County Fairgrounds is the site of the Four States Ag Expo, Montezuma County 4-H Fair, Home and Garden Show, Livestock Clinics, High School Rodeos, Dog Shows, Gun Shows, Hunter Education Classes, and numerous regional events and exhibitions in the Four Corners each year.

The Montezuma County Fairgrounds is a multi-use event center located in Cortez, CO. The Fairgrounds had another outstanding year in 2022. The general public has the opportunity to utilize the facility all year from events to practices to riding programs offered. The fairgrounds held major events or practices on 156 days in 2022, and we had 62,115 people visit our facility this past year, almost 2 ½ times the total population of Montezuma County.

 

The Montezuma County Fairgrounds hosts a variety of events such as, (Flea Markets, Kiwanis of Mesa Verde Annual Charity Dinner, Friends of NRA Annual Banquet, Four States Ag Expo, Ute Mountain Round-Up Rodeo, 12 Hours of Mesa Verde Bike Race, Four Corners Home and Garden Show, Cortez Gun Show, County Fair, Car Races, Teen Maze, Frazier Carnival, Jordan World Circus, Barrel Races, Team Roping, 4 States Jr Rodeo, Colorado High School Rodeo, Cross Country Meets, Dog Shows, Car Shows, Archery Practice, 4H Activities, Horse Shows, Hunter Ed Classes, Swap Meets, Concerts, Native American Rodeos, Horse Cuttings, Ranch Rodeos, CDOT Truck Rodeos, Demo Derbies, Community meetings, and many more).

 

The Montezuma County Fairgrounds would like to thank all of the organizations and people that utilize the Fairgrounds. Without your support, we would not be able to have such a wonderful facility.

About the Fair Board

The Fair Board shall be the managing Board of the Montezuma County Fair appointed by and under the direction of the Board of Montezuma County Commissioners.

The purpose of the Fair Board is to organize, coordinate, and manage a community event known as the Montezuma County Fair.

The Fair Board shall make all rules and regulations pertaining to exhibits, displays, events, and activities as within the scope of the objectives and purposes for which the Fair Board was appointed.
