By Montezuma County Ordinance 2-2015 “There shall be no open fires or use of fireworks in the unincorporated areas of Montezuma County on a Red Flag Day” A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.
