June 25, 2024 Montezuma County Primary Election will be an all-mail ballot delivery. Ballots will be mailed to all active eligible registered electors the week of June 3rd.

IMPORTANT DATES FOR 2024 JUNE PRIMARY ELECTION:

  • June 3 – June 17, 2024: Ballots will be mailed to all active, eligible electors.
  • June 3, 2024: Last day for voters who are affiliated with a political party to change or withdraw their affiliation if they wish to vote in a different party’s primary election for the June 25th Primary Election. (Up to and including the 22nd day before the Primary Election)
  • June 17, 2024: Last day for an individual to submit a voter registration application and still receive a ballot in the mail for the Primary Election. (Through the 8th day before an election)
  • June 17, 2024 – June 25, 2024: The Vote Service Polling Center will be the Montezuma County Annex 1, 107 N. Chestnut Cortez, CO 81321. Hours open:
    • Monday through Friday –  8:00am to 5:00pm  
    • Saturday June 22, 2024 from 9:00am to 1:00pm 
    • Election Day 7:00am to 7:00pm

24-hour ballot drop boxes:

Open June 3 – June 25 at 7:00pm at the following location:

  • Montezuma County Clerk and Recorder’s Office: 140 W. Main St. Ste 1 Cortez, CO 81321

Open June 18 – June 25 at 7:00pm at the following locations:

  • Dolores Town Hall: 420 Central Avenue, Dolores, CO 81323
  • Mancos Town Hall: 117 N. Main Street, Mancos, CO 81328
  • Ute Mountain Ute Tribal Headquarters: 125 Mike Wash Road, Towaoc, CO 81334
  • Cortez City Hall: 123 Roger Smith Avenue, Cortez, CO 81321
  • Cox’s Corner: 18794 Hwy 491, Lewis, CO 81327

Mail Ballots: Beginning on June 3, 2024, the Montezuma County Clerk and Recorder will send a mail ballot to every eligible active voter.  To be counted, mail ballots must be returned to and in the hands of the Montezuma County Clerk and Recorder no later than 7:00 pm on Election Day, June 25, 2024.  Postmarks do not count.

Polling Locations: Until 7:00 pm on Election Day, eligible individuals may also visit a Voter Service and Polling Center and register to vote for the first time, update their existing voter registration records, request the issuance of original or replacement mail ballot, or vote in-person on accessible voting devices, at the following location;

  • Montezuma County Annex 1, 107 N. Chestnut Cortez, CO 81321.
  • June 17 – June 25, 2024
    • Monday -Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm
    • Saturday, June 22, from 9:00am to 1:00pm
    • Election Day: 7:00am to 7:00pm
