HELP WANTED: OPERATOR/DRIVER-Apprentice
Montezuma County Road and Bridge Department will accept applications for a Full-time Equipment Operator/Truck Driver-Apprentice. Applications may be picked up and dropped off at Montezuma County Administration, 109 West Main, Room 260, Cortez, Colorado, during regular business hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Applicants must obtain a Class B Commercial Driver’s License within the first 3-months of being hired and a Class A Commercial Driver’s License within the first 6-months of starting this position. Must pass a thorough background check. Qualifications to include a willingness to learn, taking directions from supervisor and the basic skills to safely operate heavy equipment and various trucks. This Apprentice will receive training in the operation of most types of heavy equipment and haul trucks, including blades, backhoe, excavator, loaders, end dumps and water trucks. This position will include duties of manual labor, welding, sign installation, traffic control and other duties as assigned.
Position includes health insurance, retirement package, dental insurance, vision insurance and life insurance. Pay $18.00 per hour.
