Resolution No. 16-2022 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONTEZUMA COUNTY, COLORADO ADOPTING THE MONTEZUMA COUNTY POLICY AND PROCEDURES REGARDING SECURE TRANSPORTATION SERVICES

Resolution # 16-2022

A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONTEZUMA COUNTY, COLORADO ADOPTING THE MONTEZUMA COUNTY POLICY AND PROCEDURES REGARDING SECURE TRANSPORTATION SERVICES

WHEREAS, House Bill 21-1085, adopted in June 2021, created a regulatory and service system to provide public or private secure transportation services to individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis; and,

WHEREAS, the Bill directed each county’s Board of County Commissioners to implement a program, including issuing licenses and vehicle permits for such transports, processing complaints and enforcement of the rules associated with the program; and,

WHEREAS, the Bill directed each county to have such a program in place by January 1, 2023

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MONTEZUMA COUNTY, COLORADO that the Board hereby adopts a policy regarding Secure Transportation Services. The policy is attached hereto as Exhibit A.

APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of December 2022.
