Resolution No. 6-2022 Montezuma County Fire Ban

RESOLUTION NO. 6-2022

WHEREAS, the Montezuma County, Colorado, Board of County Commissioners.
Based upon the competent evidence, finds that the danger of forest and grass fires is high throughout the unincorporated areas of Montezuma County and that to protect the public health, safety and welfare it is necessary to reduce the danger of wildfires within those areas;

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Montezuma County Board of County Commissioners as follows:

  1. That Resolution No. 10-2021, suspending the ban on open fires and the use of
    fireworks, is canceled pursuant to Montezuma County ordinance No. 2-2015.
  2. That a ban on open fires and the use of fireworks is reinstated and continues in full force and effect pursuant to Ordinance No. 2-2015.

 

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that this resolution is hereby adopted and effective at 6:00 a.m.,, tomorrow, May 25, 2022
