ADOPTION OF HAZARD MITIGATION PLAN

WHEREAS, Montezuma County, with the assistance from our Emergency Manager and Wood Group PLC, has gathered information and prepared the Hazard Mitigation Plan; and,

WHEREAS, the Hazard Mitigation Plan has been prepared in accordance with FEMA requirements at 44 C.F.R. 201 .6: and,

WHEREAS, Montezuma County is a local unit of government that has afforded the citizens an opportunity to comment and provide input in the Plan and the actions in the Plan; and

WHEREAS, the Montezuma County Board of Commissioners has reviewed the Plan and affirms that the Plan may be updated at least every five years;

NOW BE IT RESOLVED by the Montezuma County Board of Commissioners that the Hazard Mitigation Plan is adopted as this jurisdiction’s Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan, and resolves to execute the actions in the Plan.

Approved and adopted this 16th day of March, 2021
