At a scheduled special meeting of the Board of Commissioners, Montezuma County, Colorado, held on Tuesday December 20, 2024 at the Montezuma County Administration building in Cortez, Colorado, there were present:
Jim Candelaria, Chairman
Kent Lindsay, Vice Chairman
Gerald Koppenhafer, Commissioner of Deeds
Travis Anderson, County Administrator
Stephen Tarnowski, County Attorney, Absent
Kim Percell, County Clerk.
CHAIRMAN, Candelaria opened the special meeting of December 20, 2024 with the pledge of allegiance.
SENIOR SERVICES & MONTEZUMA COUNTY PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION (MCCO): Director, Kelli Hargraves met with the Commissioners to present the proposed State of Colorado Agreement Modification, Amendment #1, to the MOCO 2023 Faster Grant Agreement #23-HTR-ZL-00056-M0002, between Montezuma County and the State of Colorado in the amount of $24,000.00 with a local match of $6,000.00. Commissioner Koppenhafer moved to approve the State of Colorado Agreement Modification, for Grant Agreement Amendment #1, between the Colorado Department of Transportation and Montezuma County, in the amount of $24,000.00 with a local match of $6,000.00. Second by Commissioner Lindsay and carried. (See attached)
CERTIFICATION LEVIES AND REVENUES: Administrator, Anderson along with Robert Dobry, presented for approval the Certification of Levies and Revenues by the Montezuma County Commissioners, to be sent to the State of Colorado. Commissioner Koppenhafer moved to approve the Certification of Levies and Revenues for Montezuma County, for all the special districts and for the County. Second by Commissioner Lindsay and carried. NATURAL RESOURCES, PLANNING & PUBLIC LANDS: Resource Director, James Dietrich, met with the Commissioners to present a Montezuma County Grant Application Submission Form for the Colorado Department of Transportation Multi Modal Options Funds Contract, in the amount of $1,183,174.00, with no county match. Commissioner Koppenhafer moved to sign the Montezuma County Grant Application Submission Form, for Montezuma County Natural Resources, with the Colorado Department of Transportation Multi Modal Options Funds reimbursement, in the amount of $1,183,174.00 and no match. Second by Commissioner Lindsay and carried. (See attached)
JANITORIAL SERVICES BIDS: Maintenance Supervisor, Dustin Sattler met with the Commissioners to discuss the received janitorial services bids and make his recommendations of the 2025 janitorial services.
Recommendations included, RLS Handyman Services, the Annex 3, MOCO Transportation, Montezuma County Sheriff’s Office and the Road & Bridge buildings, Care Beyond Care, the Montezuma County Combined Courts building, Stockwell Cleaning Service, the Administration building and Taylor Betts, the Annex 1 building. Commissioner Koppenhafer moved to accept the 2025 janitorial bids as presented. With the Annex 3, to RLS Handyman Services and for MOCO and for the Montezuma County Sheriff’s Office, the MCCC to Care Beyond Care, the Annex 1 to Taylor Betts, Administration to Stockwell Cleaning Services and the Road & Bridge to RLS Handyman Services. Second by Commissioner Lindsay and carried. (See attached)
MOTION TO ADJOURN: was made by Commissioner Lindsay seconded by Commissioner Koppenhafer and carried.
