Resolution # 20-2021

A RESOLUTION LEVYING GENERAL PROPERTY TAXES FOR THE YEAR 2021 TO HELP DEFRAY THE COSTS OF THE LAW ENFORCEMENT OF MONTEZUMA COUNTY, COLORADO, FOR THE 2022 BUDGET.

WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Montezuma County, Colorado adopted the annual budget in accordance with Local Government Budget Law on the 7th day of December, 2021; and

WHEREAS, the 2021 valuation by the Board of County Commissioners for the unincorporated areas of Montezuma County only as certified by the County Assessor for the Law Enforcement Authority is $475,882,760.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Montezuma County, Colorado, that:

For the purpose of meeting all general operating expenses of the Law Enforcement Authority of Montezuma County during the 2022 budget year, there is hereby levied a tax of mills as stated below upon each dollar of the total valuation of assessment of all taxable property within the unincorporated areas only of Montezuma County for the year 2021,
