Resolution # 15-2022

A RESOLUTION INCREASING TIRE FEES AT THE MONTEZUMA COUNTY LANDFILL

WHEREAS, the Montezuma County Landfill accepts and disposes of tires in order to aid in keeping Montezuma County clean and sanitary; and

WHEREAS, the costs associated with shredding tires and disposing of tires continue to increase; and

WHEREAS, space at the Montezuma County Landfill, and the financial resources needed to run the landfill are not infinite;

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Montezuma County, Colorado, that the fees for tire disposal at the Montezuma County Landfill be increased to the following amounts beginning January 1, 2023:

a. Each residual car tire that is off of the rim: $3.50
b. Each residential care tire that is on the rim: $12.00
c. Semi-truck tires that are off of the rim: $20.00
d. Semi-truck tires that are on the rim: $40.00
