A RESOLUTION APPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL SUMS OF MONEY TO DEFRAY EXPENSES
IN EXCESS OF AMOUNTS BUDGETED FOR MONTEZUMA COUNTY ADMINISTRATIVE
OFFICES.

Whereas, expenditures in the County Administration Fund incurred for
permanent salaries and fringe benefits were unforeseen at the time of the adoption of
the 2024 budget; and

Whereas, money is available in the General Fund in the form of unappropriated
or unrestricted funds.

Whereas a supplemental budget is needed to defray personnel expenses and
fringe benefits for additional administrative staff due to anticipated retirements; and,

Whereas, these additional supplemental funds are a one-time expense to cover
costs for training and transition of new personnel specifically, the new Finance
Director and new Human Resources Technician.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MONTEZUMA COUNTY BOARD OF
COUNTY COMMISSIONERS, COLORADO:

Section 1. That the 2024 appropriation for Administration Permanent Salaries
be increased from $461 ,000 to $521 ,084 totaling an additional supplemental of
$60,084.

Section 2. That the 2024 appropriation for Administration Fringe Benefits be
increased from $143,000 to $161 ,038.29 totaling an additional supplemental of
$18,038.29.
